A pilot that fits in a calendar.

One wing, 30 days, per-room pricing, cellular preconfigured. Designed to skip the procurement committee entirely.

Enterprise sales into skilled nursing usually means six months of procurement committee, an IT security review, a capex line item, and a vendor risk questionnaire that arrives as a 47-tab spreadsheet. We refused to enter that funnel. CareOS Companion ships under a pilot designed to bypass it.

The shape of the offer

Ten Companion units. One wing, not the whole building. Thirty days, not a year. Per-room monthly pricing, which lives on the operating budget instead of triggering a capex sign-off. Cellular modem preconfigured, so nobody has to schedule a meeting with IT to talk about VLANs. Weekly reports auto-emailed to the administrator and the director of nursing.

And a visible cancel button in the admin console. Not buried in a contract clause. A button.

Why the cancel button is the feature

Pilots fail when the buyer feels trapped. A cancel button you can see lowers the activation energy of saying yes. If the wing nurses hate it, the administrator clicks the button and the boxes go back. That is the whole risk. Stating it plainly is faster than hiding it.

Per-room pricing does the same work on the finance side. There is nothing to depreciate, nothing to amortize, no asset to track. It is a line that scales with the wing it serves and stops when you stop.

Tuesday, Friday, Monday

The administrator decides on Tuesday. The boxes arrive Friday. Install is Monday morning, before the 7am huddle. That cadence is the product. Every choice above, the wing-sized scope, the cellular radio, the absence of an IT call, the per-room invoice, exists to protect it.

Next build cycle: the install runbook ships in the box as a single laminated card, and the cancel button gets a confirmation dialog that quotes the remaining prorated days back to the administrator before the click goes through.
