What we collect
- Account info from facility administrators who sign up for a pilot — name, email, role, facility name.
- Audio captured by Companion during conversations with residents, processed into structured observations.
- Periodic vision frames from Companion's camera, processed in-memory for context and not stored as a continuous feed.
- Operational telemetry from devices — uptime, error rates, software version. No resident identifiers.
What we do with it
- Generate draft clinical observations for nurse review.
- Surface alerts to the staff who can act on them.
- Improve the product. We may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve Companion's behavior. We do NOT use identifiable resident data to train external foundation models without an explicit agreement.
- Deliver family-facing summaries to authorized contacts.
What we don't do
- We don't sell resident data. To anyone. Not for marketing, not for research partnerships.
- We don't store continuous audio or video.
- We don't disclose data to third parties except as required by law or with explicit facility/family authorization.
How long we keep it
- Conversation transcripts: pruned after the configured retention window for each facility (default 90 days). Structured observations are retained as part of the medical record under facility-defined policies.
- Operational telemetry: 12 months.
- Account data: kept for the duration of the customer relationship, deleted on request after termination.
Where it lives
- US-region data centers. State-level data residency available on request.
Your rights

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about how your data is handled, write to privacy@sevah.ai. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and route the request to the appropriate facility where applicable.
Children
- Sevah's product is intended for adults receiving care in licensed facilities. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
- We will update this policy as the product and regulatory environment evolve. Material changes will be communicated to facility administrators in writing.
