Discharge day is loud. The next week is often quieter than families expect. Sevah can help a parent have company between home-care visits and help the receiving team hold context. It does not decide the next setting.

Sevah is a non-medical companion and care-concierge conversation. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace a clinician, a care plan, or a family visit. Urgent or life-threatening needs belong with emergency services.

What the hospital can and cannot finish

Hospital staff propose a destination. Medicare and the plan decide skilled visits. If the destination is home in California, IHSS is a separate county file. A hospital is not own home for that program.

A soft companion step

If a parent is home and a care team is involved, Tara can offer daily conversation with consent. Families do not receive raw audio or video. Care-team review stays with people.

No. Discharge decisions stay with the hospital and the receiving care team. Sevah can help with company and context after the handoff.

Should we start IHSS from the hospital?

You can start Medi-Cal and the IHSS application while discharge is planned. The assessment still looks at the house. California Home Help explains that order.

Is Tara an emergency response device?

No. Call emergency services for urgent or life-threatening needs.
