What you can do from far away

You can help gather paperwork, join care-team calls, and keep a shared picture of a typical day. You cannot be the night shift from another time zone.

Where companion help fits

A daily conversation can make the house less quiet when you cannot visit. With permission, the care team can see a clearer picture between visits. People still decide outreach.

Can Sevah tell us what is happening every hour?

No. Families do not receive raw recordings. Approved, staff-reviewed updates follow the care organization’s policy.

If I live out of state, where do we file IHSS?

In the California county where the parent lives. Use the official CDSS office list. California Home Help explains the packet.

Does companion help replace sibling visits?

No. Family and local caregivers remain essential.
